Child & Family Resources is launching its annual Holiday Giving program! Each year, generous donors like you adopt one of the families we serve. Last year, more than a hundred families had a wonderful holiday thanks to your generosity!
Our case workers hand-pick families who are truly in need. Last year, a single father of four with cancer was worried that his children would not receive any gifts from Santa. Thanks to one of our donors, the gifts were plentiful! The father passed away just a few days after the gifts were delivered, leaving his family with one last holiday memory with him.
We still have 10 families who desperately need to be adopted this year!
We recommend donors purchase at least 3-4 items from each person’s wish list. If you would like to purchase more, you are more than welcome! If a family is in need of a larger item like a high chair or a stroller, we recommend you find something that is gently used. Most donors spend between $40-$50 on each person in the family. The majority of families request toys, clothes, toiletries, and small household items. Our families are always in need every day items such as:
♦ Non-perishable food
♦ Laundry soap
♦ Cleaning supplies
♦ Sheets and Blankets
♦ Towels
We ask that you wrap each gift and write the name of the recipient on a gift tag. Gifts should be dropped off at our Tucson office at 2800 E. Broadway on December 14th and 15th between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. so our staff can deliver everything in time.
If you are interested in helping a family but don’t have time to shop, we’ll do it for you! Just send a check made payable to Child & Family Resources and write “Holiday Giving” on the memo line. You can mail it to our Tucson office at the address above.
If you are unable to help as an individual, please consider adopting a family at your workplace.
If you would like to become a donor, please contact me by phone or e-mail with the size of family you would like to adopt AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. We have families ranging in size from 3 all the way to 7 members! *Please indicate if you would be willing to adopt a family in the Phoenix area. You would still deliver the gifts to the Tucson office.
