In 1970, Martha K. Rothman founded Tucson Association of Child Care which later became Child & Family Resources. Martha was known across the state as a champion for children.

When she retired from CFR in 2004, Martha left behind a strong agency with 150 full time employees and 27 programs in seven counties across Arizona. She was touted as a true hero to thousands of families who benefited from her hard work and determination to improve the lives of children.
