CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS:

Arizona Early Intervention Program
(AzEIP) (no cost to families)
AzEIP provides in home assessment, evaluation, and ongoing services to families with children birth to three, who have developmental delays and/or disabilities.  Services are provided in south Phoenix and the southwestern region of Maricopa County.

Teen Parent Support Program
The Teen Parent Support Program supports young mothers and young fathers in completing their education, learning about community resources, finding safe quality child care, and learning positive parenting techniques.  The services is available to Teen parents in the North Phoenix region of Maricopa County.

Choices for Pregnant and Parenting Youth
(no cost to parents)
Parenting education and supportive services offered in home or in school to pregnant and parenting youth ages 14 – 18 in the Phoenix area. This program is designed to support the specialized needs of teen parents and addresses positive family functioning, parenting, child development including healthy brain development, positive parent/child interaction and helping our young parents balance school and parenthood.

FOR FATHERS:

Arizona Center for Responsible Fatherhood
(ACRF) (no cost to fathers)
ACRF promotes good parenting practices and encourages fathers and expectant fathers to become actively involved in their children’s lives. ACRF provides Responsible Parenting and Economic Stability sessions and assists fathers to establish paternity, modify child support orders, and obtain and retain employment.

FOR TEEN PARENTS:

Choices for Pregnant and Parenting Youth

Parenting education and supportive services offered in home or in school to pregnant and parenting youth ages 14 – 18 in Maricopa County.

Maricopa Center for Adolescent Parents (MCAP)
(no cost to teens)
A comprehensive program offering GED preparation, parenting and life skills education, career exploration, and on-site child care to young mothers ages 16-21 and their children.

FOR ALL FAMILIES:

Choices for Families Choices for Families North and Southwest Regions

Provides in home family support and parenting education to families who are expectant or with children ages 0-5 and residing in North and Southwest Phoenix. The program is designed to help parents reduce stress, enhance family functioning, promote child development including healthy brain development, and positive parent-child interaction.

Choices for Families Southeast Region
As part of a collaboration entitled “My Child’s Ready”, Child & Family Resources provides in home family support and parenting education to expectant families and families with children 0-5 in Mesa, Queen Creek, and Gilbert. The program is designed to help parents reduce stress, enhance family functioning, promote child development including healthy brain development, and positive parent-child interaction.

FAMILIES IN CRISIS:

In-Home Services Program
(no cost to families)

This in-home visitation program provides family support and preservation and reunification to children and family members who have been referred by Child Protective Services. Program emphasis is to improve the well being of families, enhance family functioning, foster a sense of self-reliance, reduce risk factors and stabilize families.

• 85% of the families enrolled in the In-Home Services program received no new CPS reports during services.
• 83% of the families enrolled in the In-Home Services program received no new CPS reports w/in 6 months of closure.
• 90% of the families enrolled in the In-Home Services program did not have their children taken into CPS custody while in services.
• 94% of the families enrolled in the In-Home Services program did not have their children taken into CPS custody within 6 months of closure.


Artisans

53 families served annually
This program supports families who are involved with Child Protective Services and who are dealing with mental health and behavioral issues. Family Support Specialists work to keep the family together and to enhance the children’s emotional, psychological, and behavioral health. They visit family homes to support and stabilize individuals, and help the whole family improve their communication and ability to deal with stress and conflict.

• 100% of families either achieved reunification or remained in a stable placement during the course of the participation in the program.
