Arizona Infant/Toddler Institute
Training and technical assistance available to childcare providers throughout Arizona. The training curriculum is based on a nationally recognized infant/toddler curriculum. Participants receive a reimbursement for meals, mileage and back-up provider. Call 1-877-733-1270.

Child Care Resource & Referral
Parents can call l-800-308-9000 for referrals to childcare centers, preschools and homes, including after school programs. Education is available to assist parents in selection of appropriate childcare. Training for childcare providers is also available.

Choices for Families & Safford Prevention Program
These community based, multi-disciplinary collaborations offer in-home family support services. Choices for Families promotes positive parenting, organizes children’s playgroups, helps families organize and budget their money while assisting families in maintaining self-sufficiency.

DES Child Care Home Recruitment
DES-certified providers receive training, technical assistance and professional development and recognition events. The program also offers a lending library stocked with a variety of developmentally appropriate toys and equipment, which are delivered to certified providers’ homes.

Healthy Families
This community-based home visitation program provides support services to expectant parents and families with newborns. Healthy Families is designed to help clients reduce stress, enhance family functioning, promote child development and positive parent-child interaction, and minimize the incidence of abuse and neglect. In-Home Services Program
A collaborative effort between Child Protective Services, community social services agencies, and family support programs. This in-home service program provides family support, preservation and reunification to children and family members who have been referred by DES (CPS). Program emphasis is on family stabilization and reunification.

Provider Education Program
Workshops and on-site technical assistance are available to childcare providers to meet the needs and challenges of their jobs. PEP offers help that is specifically designed to meet each provider’s needs. Call 520-320-4027 for more information.

S*CCEEDS
This statewide registry system encourages and tracks the professional and educational growth of individuals in the childcare and early education field. S*CCEEDS approved trainings count towards advancement through a child care and early education Career Level system, recognized throughout the state of Arizona. For information call 1-800-905-4389
